Hello and welcome! I’m Anthony Gettig and I’ve been at this for many years. I’m relaunching this “Working Voiceover” blog site and the YouTube channel. Videos have been made as I felt the need, but it appears there is more of a need with every passing year.
My hope is that this site will be a resource and help for my colleagues in the voiceover world and for folks that want to get into the business.
There’s a lot of noise out there and many people touting how easy the VO business is. I’m calling BS. Voiceover is a business and businesses are built on relationships. There’s no guaranteed system to get you to a six figure income. It takes hard work. Period. You gotta put in the time to get the reward.
Through this website, videos, and other avenues, I hope to be able to mentor more folks virtually. There’s room in this business for every voice. There really is. I don’t see anyone as competition because every voice is unique. Seeing others succeed brings me great satisfaction.
As for one on one mentoring, I only do that occasionally. I love to help, but I only have so much time! By using technology, I hope to be able to mentor more folks and get them going in the right direction.
